Vietnam is one of our longest-running international destinations - and one we know deeply. It's a country we've returned to again and again, not just because there's so much to see, but because it never stops revealing something new.
There's a saying: you can't step into the same river twice. That's Vietnam. Always moving, always changing. No two regions feel alike. No two days feel the same. No two bowls of pho taste the same.

While Vietnam can appear a little intimidating at first - it’s loud, fast-moving, chaotic in places. Underneath that intensity is a captivating country that you will certainly fall in love with when travelling with Adventurous Women.
The Adventures
This trip has a bit of everything: overnight trains, boat rides, cycling through the countryside, walking tours through busy cities, and yes, scooters too.
The activities are designed to be achievable for anyone with a reasonable baseline of fitness. You just need to be open to being active on holiday and embracing the adventure.

-
Kayaking in Ha Long Bay
One of the best ways to experience the scale and beauty of Ha Long Bay up close and personal. We use two-person sea kayaks and conditions are typically calm and beginner-friendly. No experience needed.

-
Cycling in Pu Luong & Hoi An
Cycling is one of the loveliest ways to experience rural Vietnam. The rides are mostly flat, on a mix of paved roads and packed dirt paths.

-
Walking & Hiking
There are regular walking opportunities throughout the trip, from exploring city laneways to countryside trails and village walks.

-
Scooters
This may sound intimidating, but riding on the back of a scooter with a skilled local driver is often one of the most memorable experiences of the trip. Pure fun.

-
Adventurous transport
Part of the joy of travelling in Vietnam is the sheer variety of ways you get around. Overnight trains, local boats on the Mekong Delta, traditional basket boats in Hoi An, ferries, planes and more. Getting from place to place becomes part of the adventure itself.

The people you travel with
One of the things that really shapes a trip to VIetnam is who you experience it with.
-
Your Local Guide
Our Vietnam local guides do far more than lead the way. They help bring Vietnam to life - the food, customs, history, and everyday rhythms - while adding plenty of personality and warmth along the way. They're the difference between simply seeing the country and really understanding it.

-
Your AW Tour Leader
She keeps the trip running smoothly behind the scenes: managing logistics, handling the details, and helping create a relaxed, positive atmosphere from start to finish.

-
The women you travel with
The group itself is a huge part of what makes this trip. AW Vietnam travellers tend to be curious, fun-loving, and ready to lean into whatever the journey throws at them - and that energy is contagious.

The pace:
Vietnam is a long, narrow country, and covering it properly in two weeks does involve a fair bit of movement. But the itinerary is designed to feel full rather than exhausting - with a good balance of active days and slower ones, and space to explore independently, have downtime, or simply wander.
Your local guide and AW Tour Leader handle all the logistics so you can stay focused on what matters: getting the most out of every single day.

“What an amazing tour - Vietnam is a pretty special place with spectacular scenery, fabulous food and lovely people. Both tour guides were fantastic and sorted things for us before we even knew they had to be sorted!! I would highly recommend this tour”
