Overview

Enjoy a day out hiking Whiteman Park

The day begins with a short introduction and safety briefing from your AW Tour Leader before setting off on a peaceful bushwalk along the scenic Wunanga Trail.

Wander through beautiful sections of Whiteman Park, passing towering Jarrah and Marri trees along with stunning Banksias as we explore some of the park’s quieter, lesser-travelled trails.Along the way, we’ll pass through the Village area and several train stations along the Children’s Forest before arriving at the picturesque Mussel Pool, where we’ll stop for a relaxing coffee break at the Heritage Café (note: Drinks/snacks on own account).

After the break, we continue along the serene Werillyiup Trail, looping around the wetlands of Horse Swamp. Keep an eye out for kangaroos, long-neck turtles and a variety of native birdlife as we enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature, mixed with the nostalgic whistles of the trains and trams that operate throughout the park.

Fitness/Walk Grade

This is a mostly flat, easy walk with no technical sections.  It is easily achievable if you have a decent baseline of fitness and are comfortable on your feet for several hours at a time. In terms of difficulty, it is a Grade 2 but due to duration it is rated as a Grade 3.
