Join Adventurous Women for an immersive two-week journey through Turkey, experiencing the landscapes, legends and living traditions of this fascinating country.
From the vibrant bazaars and grand mosques of Istanbul to the turquoise coastline of Kaş, this 14-day journey showcases the incredible diversity of Türkiye through culture, history, food and adventure. Walk the moving battlefields of Gallipoli, explore the ancient ruins of Ephesus, and hike through the surreal valleys and rock formations of Cappadocia.
The adventure continues with cycling beside scenic Eğirdir Lake and walking sections of the spectacular Lycian Way to secluded bays and coastal villages. Along the way, connect with local communities through authentic cultural experiences, including home-cooked meals, traditional crafts, and warm Turkish hospitality, all shared with a supportive group of like-minded women.
This is an active trip, covering a lot of ground over two weeks. It’s suitable for anyone with an active lifestyle. You’ll need to be comfortable spending several hours on your feet each day, getting on and off transport and carrying your bag short distances. There are a few opportunities for longer walks that are not technical. Moderate activity and mobility are all that’s needed.
Welcome to Türkiye! Arrive in Istanbul and settle into your hotel before meeting the group and your Tour Leader at 5:30 pm for a tour briefing and introductions. We’ll then head out for a welcome dinner - your first chance to enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine and get to know your fellow travellers before the adventure begins.

If you’re travelling solo not to worry, you’re in good company! Many of our travellers join solo and our trips are designed to feel welcoming and supportive from the moment you arrive. It’s a great way to meet like-minded women, and friendships often form quickly along the way.
When on the tour , we have you sharing with different women from the group at different times - great for group bonding and also for alleviating any potential annoyances that may occur as a result of travelling with the same person throughout a tour. Or, if you’d prefer your own room, this is available for an additional supplement. You can select this option at the time of booking.
The tour begins at our centrally-located hotel in Istanbul with a group meeting at 5.30pm on 18 October. The tour concludes in Kas on 31 October- there are no included activities this day so you can depart at any time. The nearest airports are Dalaman Airport and Antalaya Airport.
All AW trips are accompanied by one of our experienced Tour Leaders. Their role is to take the hassle out of your travels and help you get the most out of your experience, while embracing the Adventurous Women way.
You’ll also be supported by a local Turkish tour leader for much of the trip and a few specialist guides along the way.
We do our best to accommodate dietary requirements and food allergies on every tour. There may be times when options are limited but we’ll be sure to inform you in advance.
We will be staying in a mix of comfortable hotels and charming guesthouses.
We will travel by private bus or van for most of the journey, allowing us to comfortably explore many different regions of Turkey throughout the trip. While some travel days are longer as we cover significant ground, the scenery is ever-changing. The itinerary also includes a scenic train journey and a domestic flight.
Travel insurance is mandatory for AW's international trips. We recommend taking out a policy early. Most good travel insurance policies offer an upgrade option to cover trip cancellation and interruption, which can come in handy.
If you are looking for a recommendation, we suggest Go Insurance. Through an affiliation with this insurer, AW receives a financial benefit. As a way of passing value back to our guests, if you purchase a policy for an AW trip through Go Insurance using this link, you may be eligible for our rebate offer.
